SNI's Spring Update

2002 was a busy year for SNI. During this slow business period for the machine tool industry, our company focused its resources on the further development of new products for the automotive, bearing and aerospace industries. The SN-Series of external grinders is one area of product expansion.

The SN200-E, pictured here, is one of three new external grinders offered by SNI. These machines can be arranged as either a shoe centerless or chucking grinder. SNI designed this series of machines using input from maintenance technicians and manufacturing engineers from a variety of bearing and automotive facilities. The machines have performed beyond our customers' expectations.

The design of the SN-Series of external grinders provide:

Application flexibility: The SN-Series grinding system can be configured to meet the demands of our customers, whether they are high production or high variety.

Maximum range: As standard, these machines are easily arranged to automatically load components up to 190 mm or hand load up to 750 mm. (Consult SNI Engineering for automatic loading of larger components).

Power and accuracy: Our customers' competitive position will be enhanced by the super-stiff platform that permits peak performance in high horsepower / high accuracy applications. The machine's rigid slides incorporate hydrostatic ways that are designed for lifetime performance and friction free response to finite control signals.

Quick setup: The SN-Series allows easy access to the tooling, grinding wheel and truing devices. The fasteners incorporate quick-release, wrench-free designs, while the grinder controls (Allen Bradley, GE-Fanuc or Siemens) are simple to use and setup friendly.

Easily installed and reinstalled: These machines are designed for easy transport and therefore are ideal for customer's changing plant / cell configurations. The machine's electrical, hydraulic and most ancillary systems come in a single package, eliminating the need for complex connections and lengthy installations.
