Versatile, Large Capacity ID Grinder

 

Service Network, Inc. (SNI) is proud to announce the availability of our newest product offering, the SN1000-I internal grinder.

 

Designed specifically for industries that require a heavy-duty grinder for large, complex and demanding work, the versatility of the SN1000-I is a practical solution.   Applications in defense industries, aircraft and aerospace, large bearings and gears, earthmoving, farm equipment and other heavy industrial components will welcome this new product.   The SN1000-I offers:

 

CAPACITY:

      Work piece OD swing up to 38” (more if stretched).

      Slide strokes from 5” to 50”.   Cross slide is hydrostatic with hydrostatic hold downs for super rigidity and use the same modular design approach used on SNI’s very successful SN400-I and SN200-E series ID and OD grinders.

      Selection of extended bridge options.

 

PRECISION:

      Resolution and repeatability of slides in millionths.

      Dressers and slides are CBN compatible.

      Workhead roundness is .000050” or better.

 

VERSATILITY:

      Workheads - chucker, shoe type and roll centerless types.

      Dressers - solid or lift up types for straight, radius and contour dressing using single point or cluster diamonds, silver dollar or cup type diamond wheels and diamond roll form wheels.

      Axes - up to five axes may be employed.

      Use of multiple wheelheads for simultaneous bore and face grinding or sequential grinding of multiple surfaces.

 

CONTROLS:

      The SN1000-I employs SNI’s Millennium Series control system incorporating our proprietary, operator-friendly Quick-Pro software for fast set-ups and precise control of the grinding process.

 

SNI’s experienced and grinding-savvy engineers stand ready to review potential application for the SN1000-I and to make recommendations for equipment and process improvements.
