SNI's capabilities are best exemplified by its proprietary-product offering, particularly our SN-series and 2X-series of machines. These are modern, productive internal, multi-surface and external grinding machines, capable of producing the highest quality product. Various arrangements and capacities (up to 30" diameter) are available.

Upon thorough review of the specific application we may incorporate the following into a machine package:

• Powerful control systems using SNI's own custom grinding software. We offer control options such as Allen-Bradley, GE-Fanuc and Siemens.
• The proper tooling arrangement to most efficiently and productively process your workpieces, whether it be a chucking, shoe-centerless, or roll-centerless application.
• Innovative slide systems and ballscrew packages that offer superior accuracy and longer service than traditional designs.
• Heavy-duty, high-performance grinding wheel dressing systems, enabling the use of dressing devices suitable for truing CBN, seeded gel, and other types of superabrasives.
• Guarding that fully encloses the machine, facilitates mist collection, provides a drip-free working environment. All guards are designed to allow higher grinding wheel speeds.
• Incorporation of optional high-resolution (0.000004") linear glass scales, for superior positioning accuracy and feedback to the control.
• Wheelhead drive options; including variable frequency AC drive motors for belt driven spindles or the use of motorized (high frequency) spindles.
• Optional loading systems that are simple to set-up and changeover, and offer fast, positive workpiece delivery and removal.
• As required, projects are turn-keyed, with SNI offering all necessary process development, tooling, and application prove-out, all to the customer's SPC requirements.
